A Very Buffalo Wedding Downtown and East Aurora, NY

This Wedding day in Buffalo and East Aurora, NY was wayyyy too much fun!

I could spend the next few hour talking about Rachel and JP... truly the perfect client, but I will try not too. (it's a long one) From the jump, I knew they were going to be a blast to work with... especially considering the day we were supposed to meet to chat, the state shut down due to the pandemic. But Rachel and JP remained calm and carried on (I'm sorry I had to 🤦)

After discussing options and packages over the phone, we finally were able to meet in the Fall of 2020 for their engagement photos. When I say perfect client... one thing I absolutely desire in a client is willingness and trust, Rachel and JP gave me those two things right away. The were willing and excited to be vulnerable in front of the camera, as well as trust me in capturing their love. A year away and I was already excited for their 2021 wedding day!

Leading up to the wedding, another moment of perfect client, Rachel would message me or reach out showing me her dresses, or asking what I thought about something, even days before sending me videos of their signage... it made me look more forward to the wedding date! I love being a part of my couples entire process and helping in anyway I can!

Finally, September 11th 2021 arrives, I can trust one of my favorite photographers to work with Shireen is with the groomsmen as I arrive at a gorgeous Airbnb in the West Side of Buffalo to capture the bridesmaids getting ready. Let me tell you, these girls are radiant! Already glowing as their make up and hair is finished up. After some really adorable moments in their matching robes, we got Rachel dressed with the help of her mother and best friend / maid of honor. I was excited to finally do a bridesmaids "first look" and it was sooo stinking adorable!

If you want to feel like royalty, St. Louis Roman Catholic Church is the place to get married. It is absolutely stunning in there and Rachel and JP looked like royalty as we witnessed their ceremony.

After the ceremony and family photos at the Church, we had enough time to explore with their goofy wedding party! Making our way around the theater district before heading to O'Briens Sleepy Hallow in East Aurora, NY. There was definitely some indulging on the bus, but me and Shireen made the perfect team to get the party back in to photo gear for a few more photos before cocktail hour!

From there, what was a perfect September day, became a perfect September night. Rachel and JP enjoyed cocktail hour with friends and family, cut their gorgeous black cake (!!), danced to their favorite songs, and then partied like nobody was watching!! Truly some of the most fun dance photos ever!

I was grateful to have a night time moment with just the two of them, it was a perfect moment for them to reflect on the very full, but very amazing day, then get back on that dance floor!

Rachel and JP, I am so honored to have captured your love story. 🥰 I can't wait till our paths cross again (we already ran into each other on a plane in North Carolina haha!).
