Downtown Buffalo Weddings are not only dreamy, but give you this timeless classic wedding day!
First Wedding of 2021 was one for the books!! Not only was it so glamorous, so beautiful and unique, but it was a wedding that I was waiting 2 years for! Chris and Jeanette reached out to me in early 2019 for their September 2020 Wedding Date... well we all know what happened to 2020... Chris and Jeanette had to reschedule their wedding in hopes they could have the day they dreamed of in the future
The best part of working with Chris and Jeanette was their constant optimism and positivity. The moment we met and consulted about their wedding date, we clicked. It felt like I knew them for a long time and I walked out of our meeting knowing we would become fast friends.
After making the decision in Spring of 2020 to cancel their Autumn Wedding and push it to Summer of 2021 due to the COVID pandemic, I offered to commemorate their original date with a little photoshoot. We met in September 2020 and did a lovely session to celebrate their love and look forward to the next summer when we could make it official.
As the pandemic regulations adjusted in New York State and Buffalo, so did Jeanette and Chris's plans. We met a few weeks prior to the date and they told me the change of plans. Rather than having the 200+ indoor wedding they had planned at 500 Pearl, they kept the original ceremony and dinner with under 100 of their closest family and friends, but swapped their traditional reception for a rooftop party at Patrick's Rooftop.
I'll be honest, I didn't know what I was in for when they told me these change of plans, how was I going to get any dancing photos or classic reception photos when people are spread around a bar... Let me tell you I was wrong and you can see why when you scroll!
Jeanette and Chris had one of the most perfect weddings. Rather than having a wedding party, Jeanette had her younger sister and Chris had his longtime best friend at their sides during the ceremony, but had their closest friends around them and supporting them throughout the day. I absolutely loved how they did this! 500 Pearl proved to be a gorgeous setting in the Grand Aeries Ballroom and quickly became one of my favorite indoor venues. We stayed cozy in the ballroom as we waited for rain to pass to move up to the party rooftop.
It truly was one of the best wedding days to date and a great way to start my 2021 season after a year of reschedules. Check out my favorites from Chris and Jeanettes classic glamorous wedding at 500 Pearl in Buffalo, NY. They truly are Buffalo royalty!
