Fall Wedding at Avanti Mansion

Avanti Mansion is a beautiful Buffalo wedding venue that has everything you could need. The gardens were an ideal spot to enjoy pops of fall color at Dia and Tyler’s October wedding. Their colorful details and energetic reception made for an unforgettable experience.

An Avanti Mansion Wedding

Avanti Mansion actually has three spaces for ceremonies and receptions: the Amore Ballroom, Amore Library, and Garden. Bad weather won’t stop your wedding here. Capacity for these spaces ranges between 105 and 275 guests. Packages for weddings of 100 guests range between $14,000 and $18,000.

Dia and Tyler had their wedding in The Garden. This space has several acres of gardens that are great for romantic portraits. As you can see from Dia and Tyler’s wedding photos, the ceremony space is really unique. Guests sit on a tiered hillside overlooking the ceremony spot which you reach by a little wooden footbridge.

The original structure that’s now Avanti Mansion was built in 1895. It was a summer home for a businessman, but it fell into disuse and was abandoned in the 1970s. The current owners bought it in 2004 and completed renovations in 2005 and again in 2016. The upgrades included revamping their culinary offerings and getting ready suites.

Even though most of Dia and Tyler’s wedding took place outside, we took some portraits indoors too. You can see how the venue includes vintage details and decor to create a timeless atmosphere. It was a good setting for some more formal portraits.

Unlike some nature-centric wedding venues, Avanti Mansion is actually in Buffalo just off Highway 62. It’s not far from the Penn Dixie Fossil Preserve and Nature Park in the Big Tree neighborhood. For locals, it’s so convenient not to have to drive far out of town for a complete outdoor wedding experience.

Fall Wedding Colors for Dia and Tyler

Dia and Tyler’s Avanti Mansion wedding embraced the fall colors. The trees surrounding the ceremony spot were just starting to turn orange and gold. The chilly October weather proved a bit unpredictable. Luckily, we were able to do a first look outdoors.

The florals and wedding colors were perfect for the season too. Dia’s bridesmaids wore shiny emerald dresses that stood out beautifully in photos. Their wedding arch and bouquets were a rainbow of jewel-toned blooms that added to the lush, festive feeling too.

Intentional Touches for a Personalized Wedding

This Avanti Mansion wedding had so many deeply personal moments. Most of Dia’s bridesmaids came from New York City, and they spent the morning laughing and enjoying each other’s company at their AirBnB. Meanwhile Tyler and his groomsmen headed to Highmark Stadium for some photos! The stadium was only about five minutes, so it was easy enough to incorporate this fun stop for these Bills fans. It didn’t come as any surprise later that night when some wedding toasts ended with “Let’s go Buffalo!”

Their ceremony in the Japanese Garden at Avanti Mansion included lots of family participation. Dia’s mother and father and Tyler’s grandmother each had parts in the ceremony. To incorporate a Jewish tradition, Tyler stepped on a glass at the end of the ceremony.

You can tell from these wedding photos what a lively and loving couple Dia and Tyler are. They are big Phish fans and did a really impressive choreographed first dance to “Shade” before opening the floor to guests. Once the dance floor opened, they broke out a bubble machine. I highly recommend this touch to bring your party to the next level!

Dia and Tyler’s guests had such a great time. They did one of the most epic horas I’ve ever seen! Guests lifted Dia and Tyler up beneath the floral installation in the center of the tent, and you can see the pure joy on their faces.
