The Summer 2022 Wedding Season started with this very fun, very sunny downtown Buffalo wedding!
I met Jaclyn and Adrian back in 2019 when Jac was the Maid of Honor at a wedding I photographed near Chautauqua Lake. I was so excited to hear from her about a year later in Fall of 2020 to capture their special day!
From our first few emails, I could tell Jac knew exactly what she wanted as a bride and I was HERE for it! With the Webb at Pearl Street in Buffalo already set as their venue for ceremony and reception, they wanted to get the full "Buffalove" feel for their downtown wedding day! While planning a few months before the wedding day, we found a city parking garage that would be a very fun and unique for their group photos and couples photos and came up with a full walking plan around downtown Buffalo.
Their wedding morning started at the Hilton Garden Inn right in the heart of downtown Buffalo. I arrived for getting ready and was able to snag a few moments of the bridal party before heading to Jaclyn's suite. I loved capturing these private moments of her getting ready, then a moment for a pre First Look letter reading. I then met Adrian in a separate suite to capture the same for him. After we coordinated a private First Look in their suite which was just perfect for the two of them... low pressure, comfortable area and exactly what they wanted.
From there with wedding party and family at our side, the downtown Buffalo adventure began!
Starting with a few family photos before taking a walk with the wedding party. My bride and groom with a wedding party of 14, I wrangled the crew and grabbed a few "bag boys" to help with out adventure. On this sunny June wedding day, rather than any limo or transportation, we walked down Main St for a perfect view of City Hall and Seneca one tower, over to the Wildflowers for Buffalo Mural on Washington St., then to a parking garage where the 17 of us hiked 5 flights of stairs (elevator didn't work) till we got to the roof... thank goodness we made this fun and everyone was totally down to get up there! We finished up all of our photos on the roof, which are definitely a few of my favorites, then headed to make our way to Pearl Street!
Jac and Adrian had the last wedding EVER on the roof of Pearl Street at the Webb in Buffalo and I feel SO HONORED to have captured it.
Their ceremony was perfect, the sun shining bright on the bride and groom as their best friend officiated their ceremony. From there, the guests headed down to The Webb for cocktail hour before dinner.
The rest of the evening was exactly what anyone would want at a wedding... Great food (the Pearl Street Buffalo Buffet), fun company and a rocking dance floor.
From the cocktail hour, through the speeches and to the dancing, I had such joy while snapping candids of smiling faces and people having so much fun.
