Top 5 Favorite Engagement Photo Locations Ideas Buffalo, NY
Updated: Jan 16
When it comes to your Engagement Photography, there are several unique and fun locations ideas around Buffalo, NY to inspire you!

Downtown City Streets
Whether it is Delaware Ave, Main St. or Elmwood Ave., Buffalo have SEVERAL amazing streets with old architecture and vibrant color to give you a very unique, and "very Buffalo" Engagement Session!
For my Buffalovers, who want to show their Buffalo pride during their Engagement Session, Main St. near the Buffalo Public Library is usually the best shot for your city hall backdrop!
Some great places to park for unique City Sessions:
Main St. near Genesee St. - Perfect location for Lafayette Square, Gold Dome Building, Seneca One Tower down Main St., Parking Garages, and access to several Murals...
Delaware Ave. near Edward St. - Stop for the Buffalo Mansion and Buffalo Club, photographed below. As well as an outdoor view of Trinity Church or Babeville.
City Mural Locations:
Geometric Shapes near Sheas - West Tupper and Main St.
Flowers on Washington and Broadway
Beach Vibes
Okay, okay, Buffalo is not what you would consider beach town, lol, and for those of who have been life long Buffalonian's know better than to go swimming in Lake Erie much. But fortunately Buffalo's summer beauty has made beach engagement sessions very popular! Thankfully there are a few locations in Buffalo which are perfect for a beach session!
My personal favorite locations being both Woodlawn Beach and Evangola State Park, both locations have a variety of spots for near the water, or some grassy feels. Just make sure you are willing to get a little wet!
Restaurant or Bar Spots
Have a favorite place to grab a bite or a cocktail? Thankfully most restaurants or bars welcome any photography, and some are amazingly accommodating as long as we give them a heads up and are respectful!
I had the pleasure of photographing my couple Cara and Dan privately at The Little Club in Buffalo, NY. And I also photographed Alison and Bob in Hartman's Distillery, who even welcomed us to their "speak easy" space.
These sessions are unique and a little "cheers" definitely helps loosen everyone up! Be sure to contact the restaurant or your photographer early though!
In-Home Coziness
Why not be your true and authentic self during your engagement session? Be the coziest you can in the comforts of your own home!
I love doing in-home shoots with my engaged couples. It tells a unique story that is only yours! Also you can include your fur friends a little easier!
Just be sure the lighting is adequate in whatever space you use!
The Great Outdoors of Western New York
Thankfully our home is BEAUTIFUL! There are a variety of amazing parks and nature spaces in the area that are free and accessible!
I absolutely love exploring the great outdoors with my more adventurous couples, I also love doing a picnic type engagement session to get cuddly on a blanket! The goal is to always find a more private space for us to have fun and capture some engagement memories!
Whether you are in the North or Southtown's of WNY, there are so many options. Here are a few of my favorite Nature Space / Public Parks:
Knox Farms State Park, East Aurora, NY
Tiff Nature Preserve, Buffalo, NY
Como Lake Park, Cheektowaga, NY
Amherst State Park, Williamsville, NY
